Mrs. Amy Ahlenius

Personal Profile:

As a graduate of Timothy Christian Schools, it is very rewarding to now be a teacher and give back to this wonderful Christian community. I know from the years I attended, that Timothy is a great place to grow both academically and spiritually. I strive to provide the same supportive and caring Christian experience that I received as a student.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tim, our dog, and our families. I also enjoy running, swimming, biking, and kayaking. This will be my fourth year helping to coach girls Track & Field at the High School.

Professional Profile:

I graduated from Trinity Christian College in May of 2007 with a double major in Elementary Education and Spanish. I spent a semester in Spain, which was an invaluable experience in many aspects. My first teaching job was teaching 3rd - 5th grade Spanish. I was also an educational assistant for a special needs classroom. Both experiences grew me in many ways. I have been blessed to be teaching 3rd grade at Timothy where faith and learning go hand-in-hand.

Philosophical Profile:

I love God, children, and learning. I believe every child can learn and I desire to impress my love of learning to students through passionate teaching of subject material and a Christian worldview. I am thankful to be teaching at a Christian school where I can express Christ’s love and teach my students ways in which they can better follow and serve Christ. I desire to be a positive role model who inspires and encourages students to learn and use their unique God-given gifts and abilities. My prayer is that every student who goes through Timothy will grow both academically & spiritually so that they may be prepared for the life adventure God has for them.

“Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.  I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!”  ~Deuteronomy 32:2-3
