2008 Middle School Geo Bee

Seven rounds determined the winner and runner-up of the MS Geography Bee, held on Tuesday, December 16.  The contestants consisted of thirteen middle-schoolers and the winner and runner up of the ES Bee, who joined them in Round 4

The categories includes U.S. Cities, Odd Item Out, World's Largest Cities and Random Geography questions, which could cover just about anything related to geography or different cultures.

The students competed well and it wasn't until the 5th round that a lot of players were eliminated.  The 6th round narrowed the competition down to two.  The final round consisted of three questions.  Whomever answered the most questions correctly would be crowned the champion.  One of the students answered two questions correctly, which earned him 1st place.

Congratulations to Brian Van Der Dyke (8th grade) and Runner-Up, Andrew Klysh (7th Grade)! Brian received a DK World Atlas and Andrew received a book 501 Must-Visit Destinations
