OcTimberFest
Who doesn’t love the great outdoors? This year’s OcTimberfest celebrated rainforests, mud, bears, camping, bugs and of course, trees! The barefoot freshmen started the show with a “Walk Outside.” Along the way, the audience was treated to zany songs such as “A Deer in My Cadillac,” “Anaconda LaBamba” “In a Cabin” “Milk & Cereal” “My Favorite Kind of Bugs” and “I Love Mud!” And, the audience was reminded to be ecologically responsible in “Trouble in the Jungle” and “Rainforest Rap.”
The staff performances once again proved to be crowd pleasers. Memorable moments include Mr. Lindloff as a wacky rooster in “I had a Rooster,” Miss Sommars in the oh, so touching “Tree Song” and the assembly of “youngsters” in the “Tree Alphabet.” The auditorium rocked out to our very own Blues Brothers starring the dynamic duo of Mr. Roelofs and Mr. Snoeyink. They entertained the crowd with their rendition of “Soul Man” in honor of tree-loving Mr. Wiener entitled “Tree Man.” As is tradition, the evening ended with balloons for all.
We hope you were able to join us for this romp through nature!
